Grade 2

Overview

Grade 2 builds on the foundations established in Grade 1 by strengthening literacy, numeracy and learning confidence. At Thandimfundo Schools, learners are encouraged to become more independent while continuing to learn within a structured, supportive and engaging classroom environment.

The Grade 2 programme places emphasis on consolidating core academic skills while introducing more complex concepts at an age-appropriate pace. Learners are supported to think critically, communicate effectively and develop positive learning habits.
